It’s jammed packed with practical features such as hand-warming fleece pockets, two large versatile zippered utility pockets and additional pocket space to hold a VHF, GPS or “beverage”. It also boasts a breathable, moisture wicking lining and 360° reflective piping around the shoulders for visibility.

The Coastal is getting its first debut at the Toronto boat show and is featured in the New product show case, check it out at www.torontoboatshow.com/new-product-showcase/

The Pod Pak was made for no other reason than an idea I had in my head. I could not get focused on my daily tasks until I attempted to make one. This is the one and only Pod Pak and I personally use it everyday. The stream line bag with 3M reflective piping is great for for my bike / skateboard commute to and from Salus. It fits a 9″ x 13″ computer in a protective sleeve as well as a hydration bladder and Ipod, which both slide out of either the right or left shoulder straps. The bag was designed with mesh sides; the idea being that after a day on the water sailing or paddling, you could throw your wet clothes in and they would ventilate with the surrounding air. I am not sure if we will ever see the Pod Pak in production but here it is anyways.

This product was one I started about a year and a half ago. I wanted to create a vest that would be worn by our top Canadian sailing athletes; something low profile that would allow for maximum mobility. The idea was that this vest would be certified at the European “liberal” CE standers, allowing the vest to be much thinner. Working with two former Olympians (B. Luttmer and O. Johansson) we came up with this idea. After pitching the idea there was little interest by Salus and it got shelved until now. The Canadian Olympic team contacted us and wanted what I was working on. I have completely redesigned it into a very modern slick vest. I am not yet allowed to post the new vest but here is its predecessor.
